#MassyMethodMondays: A Quick-N-Easy Workout You Can Do While Traveling

It’s the holiday season — aka that time of year when our holiday workout routine goes out the window. We get it: you're thinking about holiday parties, family and Christmas dinner, and the last thing on your mind is the gym. You may be dealing with icy roads, closed facilities or just a shortage of time to follow your usual gym routine which may contribute to the holiday “gains” most of us experience during this time a year.

We hate to break it to you, but you may need some new excuses, because we have a quick circuit workout that can be done anytime, anyplace. 

Circuit training will shorten the amount of time spent working out by targeting multiple muscles at the same time. You will perform one exercise after the other, with little to no rest in between until the circuit is completed. This style of training will help you burn lots of calories and can be done anywhere; all you need is your body and a nice workout playlist.


Circuit Exercises: Burpee, Squat Jumps, Mountain Climbers, and Calf Raises.

Muscles Targeted: Glutes, Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Abdominals, Shoulders, Chest, Arms, Calves.

How Much: Do 20 seconds of each exercise.

Rest Period: 1min-1:30s

Rounds: 10

Total Time: 30 mins

The goal is to complete each exercise one after the other for 20 seconds each with little to no rest in between. Only rest when you complete all exercises of this circuit.

Now you have no reason to stop your routine during your travels. Follow this circuit 3-4 times a week this holiday season and help control those holiday gains in the comfort of your own home, hotel or mom’s house.
