All The Single Mamis

As you all know I am happily married with two kids. But on certain days during the week, I play solo parent. Jeremy works longer hours several days a week so he can have more time off to spend with us. I am grateful because these early years are precious and it's nice to be present. However, those single parent days? They're hard as hell!
This little post is a giant shout out and massive bow down to all the single parents out there. On the days I am solo with the girls, I end the day completely emotionally and physically exhausted. My head spins trying keep a 2-and-a-half-year old and a 7-month old baby entertained and happy. But I never complain because I realize there are parents out there who are single parents every day of their lives.
I am, by no means, comparing my one or two days of solo parenting to being a full on single parent, but I do think I get a little bit of what it's like. You have to be on from the moment your eyes open (or in my case when my toddler's eyes open since she's always up before me). Make breakfast, dress wiggly little bodies, wrangle them into car seats, keep track of them while running errands, feed them again, bathe them, put them to bed, cater to their middle of the night needs. It's no day at the park.
Single parents, whether on full time or part time single parent duty—you rock! Give yourself a pat on the back, a mani/pedi, a glass of wine or cold beer, a night on the town or just a quiet night in with your feet up, because boy do you deserve it.
If you're a single parent, do you have any secret tips for making life run smoothly?
