It Finally Fits, Part II

What should I wear? We all face this issue, but when you’re losing weight, it’s even more complicated. Should I reward myself with some nice, new clothes? Should I hold off until I lose even more? What if I buy something nice and then gain some weight back? Isn’t this getting to be expensive? I think the way to go is to reward yourself, yes, but try to stick to purchasing items that are essential now and are likely to remain useful later, when you accomplish your goal. Having said that, I confess that I'm only human and I don't always follow my own advice.
Yes, I had another skirt situation. But this time I decided I wanted to buy an extra tight-fitting skirt. So I went shopping with my mother and a couple of friends. One thing I highly dislike is when people tell me things I cannot wear. One way or another, I will find a way to squeeze my butt in there. I tried on a pencil jean skirt. At first I looked at myself thinking, “Who the hell do I think I am trying to pull off wearing this skirt? My mother totally disapproved. But I was determined to shed a couple of inches to finally wear a pencil jean skirt, especially now that I’m single! Absolutely!
So I took the plunge and bought the skirt. And of course I was staring at that skirt for about three weeks before finally I decided to try it on at home. For three weeks, I was working out 3-4 days a week and controlling what I was eating. If I wasn’t at the gym, I was walking by my house! I was definitely going to wear that skirt, and guess what…I absolutely did!
Have you ever bought an item of clothing that you wanted and lost weight and/or inches to finally wear it? Does it still fit?
