A Warning from the Eye

So I have an eye infection. And it hurts. A lot. But what perhaps hurts the most is the cosmetic fallout from the infection. I have to get rid of every piece of makeup that has come near my eye for the past two weeks. I know! It’s my first eye infection—maybe that’s why I’m taking the news so hard. But I have to do it.

Chicas, this is a super-important lesson to us all: Our eyes are so fragile, and if you wear contacts (like me), they are even more prone to infection. So toss your eye makeup every three months (at least!), don’t sleep with your contacts on and make sure you have a cute pair of glasses at home. I have to wear my black plastic frames, circa 1999, and I’m regretting not having invested in some serious designer eyewear. Ah, well. This should be my worst problem.
