In the beauty world, this is a major celebrity sighting: So I’m at lunch at this restaurant in New York City called Michael’s, that’s basically like The Ivy of publishing, and I see supermodel Marissa Miller. Holy smokes is she hot. Then I go to get my coat and our Editor in Chief, Mimi Valdés Ryan, gets spotted and begins hugging an old friend. She calls me over and says, “Guess who this is?” I turn to face a tall man with an island tan and Cary Grant-ish features. I’m stumped. “This is Dr. Perricone!”

Now ladies, I was hours before in the office pitching one of Dr. Perricone’s new amazing products for the magazine—which I can’t share yet, but will in our August issue!—and now I was looking at the celebrity skin doctor responsible for it. I wanted to say, “I eat your omega 3-rich vitamins every morning!” but instead I shook his hand and he told us about his Colombian girlfriend and how he would love to speak to us about any and all things beauty.
