Good Clean Soap

I am really picky when it comes to soap. I don’t love body washes so much because I feel like they’re more sweet-smelling liquid than real soap (not true, just a weird thing I have). But I also don’t love the soap scum some bars leave on my skin. You can feel soap scum. When you get out of the shower and your skin feels dry and tight, almost like there’s an invisible layer of wax or residue on it, that’s probably soapy scum. I love Dove beauty bars, but recently I discovered Avene Cold Cream Emollient Soap-Free Cleansing Bar ($9). It’s gentle and moisturizing, containing Avene Thermal spring water, and helps keep your skin pH balanced. But I love it because it makes me feel clean and safe. Try it. You’ll see what I mean.
