Design Your Own Perfume Bottle!

If you’re a beauty junkie and closeted designer, then smell this: Bond No. 9 fragrances is asking YOU to design another bottle for their latest fragrance, Brooklyn. The Bond No. 9 fragrances are inspired by popular New York City areas (Chelsea Flowers, after the Chelsea flower district, is my fav). But the current design of the Brooklyn bottle—featuring a colorful splay of graffiti—hasn’t struck a harmonious cord with all borough-dwellers. So the brand came up with a fashionably democratic solution: Through the month of March you can join the Brooklyn Bottle Design Competition and create a visual for this male-centric, woodsy-spice eau de parfum. The rules: The design must fit the outline of a Bond No. 9 bottle and incorporate their signature token logo (check them out at bondno9.com). You can use oil, watercolor, makeup—lo que sea—so long as your inspiration comes from Brooklyn. Email design submissions to contactus@bondno9.com, or mail them to Bond No. 9, 9 Bond Street, New York, NY 10012 by March 31, 2009.  Winners will be chosen in April and the winning design will be put into production with you, the winner’s name, on the bottle!
