Juanes continues to amaze us! AOL Música reports that the Colombian rocker was the only Latino to be invited to a benefit concert by former President Bill Clinton. The concert, held to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the William J. Clinton Foundation, was titled A Decade of Difference, and included performances by superstars such as Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, Bono, and Usher.
Among some of the goals of Clinton’s foundation is to “alleviate poverty, improve global health, strengthen economies, and protect the environment,” according to its website. We are sure Juanes felt humbled by the invitation from the former president. In addition to helping American schools and African farmers, the William J. Clinton Foundation says in its website that it is investing $20 million in small and medium-sized businesses in Colombia.
The 39-year-old Juanes has had an amazing year thus far! Just last month, the singer received an award during the 25th Hispanic Heritage Awards, which was held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
