How to Get Selena Gomez’s Pretty Polish

Ever since I saw photos of Selena Gomez at the Teen Choice Awards, I have been on a mission to find out what nail polish she wore. I emailed her photo around to manicurists and nail polish brands asking if they recognized the beautiful royal blue/slightly purple shade. A few offered up similar versions (like OPI Dating a Royal, $8, opi.com and Sinful Colors Midnight Blue, $2, walgreens.com), but none were a perfect match.

Luckily, Selena’s publicist came to my rescue: She just emailed to say that Selena’s manicurist, Karan Mitchell, used American Apparel nail polish in Mount Royal, $6, americanapparelstore.com. I can’t wait to try it!
