Does This Really Work: Sally Hansen Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Color Pen

Did you ever paint your nails with markers when you were bored in school? I know I'm guilty as charged. This old habit came to mind because I tried Sally Hansen Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Color Pen in Magenta, ($9). Other brands have also come out with nail polish pens, like Nicole by OPI. It feels like you're using a magic marker on your nails, but this time I knew I wasn’t going to get in trouble.

Like a pen, you pump the top and the nail polish comes out the bottom, infusing the brush tip with color. The color glides on easily, but the brush is a little wide for my nails. It worked on my toes and most of my fingers, but when I got to my little pinkie the polish oozed onto my skin. It’s easy to get used to not having to dip into a tradition bottle. My nails were magenta in no time and the polish dried quickly. The best part is that you can carry a pen in your desired shade in your bag—because they are light and made of plastic—to conveniently touch up any chips.
