Daddy Yankee on his Latest Scent: "This One's for the Girls!"
By Kate Sandoval | 10/18/2010 - 15:30 |
Daddy Yankee found inspiration from the Caribbean to create his first fragrance for women, called DYamante. “It’s a tropical, sweet scent—perfect for a woman who is in touch with who she is and where she comes from,” he says. He’s definitely right about it being sweet! The notes include purple passion fruit, honeysuckle and vanilla.
The Latin Urban Artist of the Decade’s first scent, a men’s cologne called DY by Daddy Yankee, launched in 2008. He later decided to create a women’s scent after many of his female fans wrote him asking for their own version. “Girls are going crazy for it already,” he says. The Eau de Parfum—which comes with a removable diamond studded bracelet—is $55 and available at Macy’s, Dillard’s and on perfumania.com.
