Benefit Cosmetics Takes Cheeky Fragrance Trio Very Seriously
| 07/03/2009 - 12:00 |
Benefit Cosmetics, known for their whimsical and unabashedly girlie line of makeup, has made a bid to be taken seriously in the fragrance market with not one, not two, but three new scents—seriously, there are three. The first, Laugh with me LeeLee, is the easiest to love, a crisp, springtime mist that would render any wearer friendly and likeable. The second, Something about Sofia, is a deeper, headier floral. As its title implies, there is something mysterious and magnetic about it. And the third, My Place or Yours Gina, is the most individually brazen; the thick woody notes are more difficult to embrace, but are just waiting to be any diva’s signature scent. The three join Benefit’s two other perfumes, Maybe Baby ($48) and B spot ($38, benefitcosmetics.com). At $36 each, these new delightfully colorful cocktail-shaker bottles make beautiful and quite affordable gifts—but as a trio, they are seriously something to covet.
