Half-Puerto Rican Aubrey Plaza has always looked a lot like her casual, no-fuss character, April, on Parks & Recreation.
But lately the 27-year-old actress has stepped away from her tomboyish style, especially at this year’s Emmy Awards, where she showed off a new wavy bob haircut and glam makeup that complemented her diamond drop earrings and cream gown.

Considering this year’s boldly colored balloon-like skirts, flowing fringe dresses, and happy prints, there’d be plenty of fashion for Oscar de la Renta to talk about after his spring show. But, according to WWD, he was focused on the hair. “Every single girl who came to see me had hair that was plastered to her head,” he explained. “It was so lacquered it was like cement. I said to them, ‘If you have a boyfriend, he wouldn’t want to touch your head with hair like that.’”
