La La Vazquez’s bridal makeup was just as stunning as her Vera Wang gown when she wed Carmelo Anthony in New York City last weekend. To get the dish on her flawless wedding day beauty, we chatted with celebrity makeup artist Eric Ferrell (he’s worked with celebs like Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian) about how he created La La’s bridal look.
For La La’s big day, Ferrell told us that the goal was to make the bride appear "done, but not too done." To achieve this, Ferrell applied her makeup so that it was "strong enough to pop in photographs while still appearing subtle enough to let her natural beauty shine through." To create La La’s glamorous look, Ferrell used Revlon PhotoReady Foundation, which evened out her complexion, and then highlighted her cheeks with MAC Sheertone Blushcream. To make La La's eyes really stand out, Ferrell blended MAC Eye Shadow in blue brown and tan on her eye lids and applied Mally Beauty lip gloss in the light Baby Blush shade to her lips.
And that's not all: to make her wedding day look even more glam, La La wore a set of eyelash extensions by eye lash guru Ja'Maal Buster. The lash expert said that he specially crafted the eyelashes—which were made from real mink and took more than three weeks to create!—to give La La a look that was special and luxurious, yet still natural and sophisticated. Like La La's ultra luxe eyelashes? Buster says that brides hoping to create a similar style should try his “I Do” eyelashes, which can easily be attached without the help of a makeup artist by using his Lash Placement tool.
