Sure, there was a certain guy with chiseled features and spiky hair (Team Jacob!) on the Breaking Dawn red carpet, but what really caught our attention at the premiere was Mia Maestro’s super-sexy smoky eyes.
It’s the classic smoky eye we always want to master—dark, sooty, and not at all messy. We love it. And we know just how we’re going to try to recreate it. With a bronze 3-shadow smoky eye palette, like Lorac Starry-Eyed Baked Eyeshadow Trio in Superstar ($26, sephora.com), follow these steps:
1. Brush the shimmery nude eye shadow from your lid up to your browbone.
2. Now blend the bronze shadow from lash line to the crease of your lid.
3. Darken the base of your lid, near your lashes, with the darkest brown shadow, then apply a jet-black eyeliner (try L’Oreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner, $6.79, drugstore.com) around the entire eye, on both the inner and outer rims.
4. Finish with a few coats of dramatic mascara, like Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes!, $19, tartecosmetics.com.
