Twilight may have swept most of the awards at last night’s Teen Choice Awards taping, but our favorite Latina stars stole the spotlight on the red carpet with their stunning hair and makeup. We’ve given them some awards of our own! Let us know if you agree. (You can catch the 12th annual Teen Choice Awards tonight at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.)
Prettiest Ponytail: Victoria Justice
Letting a few short layers fall along her face makes Victoria’s messy pony even cuter.
To get the look: Curl the ends of your hair, part it in the middle, then sweep it back with your fingers into a low ponytail. Secure with an elastic band, but keep it loose so you can gently pull out a few of the shorter layers.
Most Mesmerizing Eyes: Selena Gomez
Selena’s dramatic eye makeup draws the focus to her rich brown eyes.
To get the look: Use a black eyeliner pencil to line the inner rims of your eyes. Smudge a shimmery silver shadow across your lid and a bit below it, too, then swipe on two coats of black mascara (like CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion, $10, cvs.com) on both the upper and lower lashes.
Shiniest Hair: Francia Raisa
Francia’s mirror-like sheen makes her hair seem so soft and smooth.
To get the look: Mist a shine spray (try Garnier Fructis Brilliantine Shine Glossing Spray, $4.29, drugstore.com) through damp hair as you blow dry—the hot air will help to distribute the product evenly. After you’re done styling, mist the shine spray again from an arm’s-length away. (If you spray too close, it can look greasy.)
Sweetest Cheeks: Naya Rivera
Naya’s warm pink cheeks impart a soft, innocent flush.
To get the look: Sweep a pale pink blush across your cheekbones, then add a bit more to the apples of your cheeks. Finish with a dusting of shimmer powder, like Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz ($38, bobbibrowncosmetics.com).
Sexiest Waves: Lea Michele
Lea Michele’s beachy waves give her a pretty laid-back style.
To get the look: Lea Michele’s stylist, Mark Townsend, distributed Dove Body & Lift Volumizing Mousse ($5, cvs.com) throughout Lea’s damp hair, then blew it out with a round brush. Once it was completely dry, he curled each 3-inch section of hair with a double-barreled curling iron (like the Nalu Waver, $180, rsessiontools.com), wrapping it around the two barrels in a figure-eight motion. Then he smoothed a dollop of styling cream (like Dove Frizz Control Taming Cream, $4.75, drugstore.com) between his palms, and raked his fingers through the curls to loosen them.
