Rosario Dawson appeared fresh and glowy on the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie, Zookeeper, and we’ve got details on how to get the look (complete with exact shades used), courtesy of Rosario’s makeup artist, Fiona Stiles!
“To balance out the glamour of the dress, we went with pretty, happy makeup: a bronze eye, a warm salmon-y pink cheek and a soft pink lip,” explains Fiona. Here’s her step-by-step:
- “First I blended liquid foundation on Rosario’s skin with a firm foundation brush (iike EcoTools Bamboo Foundation Brush, $5.99, ecotools.com). It lets me control how much product I apply and I can put it just where I want it."
- “Next I brushed a little cream blush (Illamasqua Cream Blush in Rude, $24, Sephora.com)on the apples of the cheeks for a healthy but soft punch of color, then applied bronzer just under her cheekbones to contour them. The MAC bronzer (MAC Matte Bronzer, $23, Maccosmetics.com) I used looks very natural. You want just a little hollowing of the cheekbones; it should be almost undetectable.”
- For the eyes: “With a flat, medium-sized brush, I swept the bronze color in the Dior 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Earth Reflection ($58, Sephora.com) over the lid, and then softly blended it towards the brow. I used a crease brush to add depth in the crease of the eye, and then I swept a bit of bronze and deep brown (Chanel Ombre Essentielle Shadow in Cinnamon, $28.50, Chanel.com) under the lower lash line, softly smoking it out.”
- Last step, the pink lip! “I love a cool pink lip, and the Nars Gloss in Chihuahua ($24, Narscosmetics.com) is the perfect shade. It looked easy and pretty and just added a bit of lightness to the look.”
