After an extended honeymoon in Mexico with new husband Josh Duhamel, Fergie is hard at work again. The singer is not only prepping for a Black Eyed Peas comeback with the group's upcoming album, The E.N.D.; she's also introducing her very own MAC Viva Glam VI lipstick to raise money for the MAC AIDS Fund.
Fergie dished on the new lipstick, which hits stores March 19, while serving meals for Los Angelenos living with HIV/AIDS as a volunteer for Project Angel Food. "When AIDS first came on the scene, people were initially in a state of
fright and everyone was so careful," said Fergie to E!'s Marc Malkin. "People don't have
that scare anymore. We have to let people know that it is still fatal,
there's no cure and that it is still real."
The newlywed told Women's Wear Daily that she chose a soft, blue-pink shade of lipstick out of all the options presented to her by MAC. "I really wanted people to support the charity, so I wanted it to be an everyday color that people can wear all the time."
Even though Fergie was out doing work for charity, she of course couldn't dodge the baby question! When it did come up, the singer said that she isn't ready to jump into that phase of married life just yet. "I'm not going to be because I'm going on tour. I wouldn't want to do that to the poor child," she told E!. Though plenty of female artists have taken their babies—and baby bumps—on the road successfully, we respect Fergie's decision to wait. We just hope it won't be for too long!
