Does This Really Work? Shine Enhancing Flat Iron
By Sandra Mariscal | 10/29/2009 - 12:06

I don’t like to straighten my hair too often because my long curls make it a chore. These conditioners are released from the plates and onto your hair with the heat of the iron.

I couldn’t help but wonder what she uses to keep her locks intact—aside from constant touchups from a celebrity hairstylist, I’m sure.

Curly Qs: My First Straightening Experience
By Sandra Mariscal | 10/07/2009 - 10:30

I was thirteen when I got my hair straightened for the first time. I wanted a different look for a get-together with my friends from dance class. She started blow-drying away as I sat there anxious and scared, not knowing what to expect. It took 40 minutes of intense heat aimed straight at my strands for Silvia to stretch out all of my tight curls. And when I finally looked in the mirror, the result was unrecognizable.
