It has to have been more than five years since I’ve replaced my blow dryer. I usually just wait until one dies to buy another. But I couldn’t resist trying the Barbar Eco 8000 Blow Dryer ($150, barbarartist.com) because it uses a ceramic device to create heat—instead of those metal coils found inside old-school dryers. It’s supposed to be more eco-friendly because it uses less energy and doesn’t give off as much radiation as traditional ones do.

We hear Cameron Diaz is busy filming her role as comic book comrade Lenore “Casey” Case in the movie adaptation of the Green Hornet. Not that we’re huge comic book loyalists here, but how cool are the visual similarities between the Cuban cutie and this cartoon rendering? The Mexican stylist suggests, “Spray a makeup powder brush with Redken Vinyl Glam 02 Mega Shine Spray ($18, redken.com) and brush the hairline and curls [around your face] to reduce frizz and add shine.”
