Fall is in the air, which means, in the beauty world, it’s time for a makeover!
Our stars have already started to make big changes to their looks in time for the new season, and you can use their recent tweaks as inspiration for your own—here’s how:
1. Fall Beauty: Gloria Estefan
Go Dark like Gloria Estefan!
After sticking to a ruby red shade for the past year, the Ultimate Latina debuted her new mahogany-chocolate color at this year’s Alma Awards. Cutler Salon South Beach colorist Johanna Stella says the singer wanted a glam look for the launch of her new album. “Gloria’s new color is the perfect complement to her skin tone and eye color,” says Stella. “It’s a great shade for anyone with dark eyes and olive skin like Gloria. If you have lighter eyes and skin, go for a lighter tint with more strawberry or gingertones.”
2. Fall Beauty: Fergie
Go Short like Fergie!
The Black Eyed Pea made the big chop, showing off a chic above-the-shoulder bob at the unveiling of her Madame Tussaud’s wax figure last night in Las Vegas. If you’re worried about such a drastic cut, keep the layers near your face as long as the rest of your hair to create the illusion of a longer style and a thinner face. Then, make the chic cut edgier with dark rocker roots, like Fergie’s.
3. Fall Beauty: Jamie-Lynn Sigler
Get Bangs like Jamie-Lynn Sigler!
What’s the best way to make a major hair change without a major hair cut? Bangs! The statement-making fringe looks best when it hits between your lids and brows. So it’s not one solid block, separate the blunt fringe with a tiny bit of pomade (like Redken Water Wax Shine Defining Pomade, $19.20, drugstore.com) to add definition.
