Hairstylist Robert Vetica was Salma’s mane man as she traveled throughout the U.S. promoting her new film Puss in Boots. She even gave him a great plug on Letterman the other night, calling him "one of the best hairstylists in the world!"

Here, Vetica shares his styling steps to help us recreate her sexy caramel-tipped blowout in L.A., the chic updo she had in Chicago, and her voluminous ponytail in Ft. Lauderdale on our own locks! Because, come on chicas, who doesn't want to look like Salma Hayek?

Salma’s Voluminous Ponytail

With your fingers, pull your hair back into a ponytail; hold in one hand as you tease the base of the ponytail with a brush, then secure with an elastic band. “Teasing holds the band in place,” explains Vetica. If your hair is very thick like Salma’s, create two sections: First, section the top of your hair (which is everything above your temples) and hold it with a hair clip. Then pull the rest of it into a ponytail. Now wrap the top section around the base of the ponytail, pinning the ends with a bobby pin. “This creates extra height on top, too,” says Vetica.
