The ever stylish Eva Mendes made her way to the New York City premiere of the fun flick Sherlock Holmes with her hair in an adorably retro bouffant topped with a sweet little bow. Sebastian celebrity stylist Thomas Dunkin did the ‘do, which required him to prep damp hair with Sebastian Professional Potion 9 Lite ($9, drugstore.com) before blow-drying and setting with rollers.
To get a similar look, tease hair at the crown after releasing it from rollers. Separate the top section of your hair (aka the crown) and twist the rest of your hair up, pining it into a classic French twist. Now re-tease the section at the crown to create that raised pompadour, then roll and tuck ends into the top of the twist and pin it in place with bobby pins. It’ll take some practice, but the style is a classic worth mastering.
