‘Do of the Day: Miami Fashion Week Textured Pony

While watching all of the sexy swimwear strutting down the runway at Fashion Week Swim in Miami this week, we spotted a few just-as-hot hairstyles, perfect for these scorching July days.

So we emailed the photos of our favorites to celeb hairstylist (and Miami mainstay) Oribe, and he shot back his step-by-step instructions for recreating the looks!

Here’s how to get the wild ponytail seen at the A. Che show: 

1. Starting with smooth hair, gather a low ponytail at the nape of your neck.
2. If you have wavy or curly hair, spray a texturizer, like Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, $19.50, oribe.com, throughout the ponytail. Brush and pull apart your curls to create tons of volume.
3. If your hair is straight, either curl it with a 2-inch-barrel curling iron or set it in hot rollers. When hair is cool, brush the curls to soften them and add volume.
4. Mist an anti-humidity spray, like Oribe Imperméable, $38, oribe.com, all over the ponytail to help fight frizz, especially if you’re headed to the beach!
