Curly Qs: No More Drama
| 05/13/2009 - 12:45 |
Ladies, thank you so much for your helpful comments on my haircut drama a few weeks ago. My layered cut was drastically uneven from not maintaining it and I wasn’t sure what to do. Many of you weighed in on your layered cut likes and dislikes. I am a fan of layered curly hair for the oomph it adds. So after much thought, I asked my stylist to trim all my split ends and chop off the noticeable disparate lengths for a more flowing style.
I also wanted something different with my color. I like to change things up for the summer, so in anticipation of the hotter months, I got highlights. My stylist added honey blonde strands throughout my chocolate brown hair. Highlights not only add dimension to dark hair, but they also can make hair look shinier, like the sun is hitting it. This is great for us curly-haired gals who are always looking for ways to add shine to lackluster locks. Curly hair can be sensitive to dyeing, though, because it tends to be drier. I’ll be sharing some tips from an expert soon on how to dye curly hair. In the meantime, tell me about your go-to summer style. Are you changing your haircut or color for the season?
