Celebrity Hairstylist Oribe Gives the Scoop on the New Bob

Oribe, the Cuban-American celeb hairstylist (who has worked with everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Penelope Cruz to Diana Ross), recently cut Scarlett Johansson’s hair into a sexy, short “lob” (aka: a long bob). We asked the stylist for tips on how Latinas can get the look.

"Scarlett wanted a lighter, shorter style for summer, but with more volume," says Oribe. "So I cut off about six inches, leaving it slightly longer in the front than the back and making the ends really jagged, which makes it look more modern."

The length is perfect: It’s long enough to be pulled up into a ponytail or a glam updo, but short enough that it’ll air-dry into a pretty natural wave. And if you want more lift? Oribe suggests spritzing roots with his Dry Texturizing Spray ($39, oribe.com).
