3 Hot Hair Color Trends To Try This Fall

Now that we have the right autumn-inspired manicure, we’re moving on to hair color. Based on our favorite celebs, the dramatic ombré effect (dark roots and bleached out ends) is still on-trend, but it’s taking a much more subtle turn.

Here are the celeb pics we’ll be taking to our colorist:

1. Fall Hair Colors: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez’s Two-Tone “Bronde”

Bronde—as in blonde + brown—has been a highlighting trend for awhile, but this season, the brown is focused on the root area, while the blonde runs from midlength to ends.

The result is perfect for brunette Latinas with golden undertones who want to lighten up without going full-blown blonde (which can look extreme, and be a nightmare to keep up). Plus, the more your hair grows out, the more natural your color looks.

2. Fall Hair Colors: Bella Thorne

If there’s one overarching celeb hair color this season, it’s red. Tons of celebs are going to the amber side—and you might want to too because the shade looks gorgeous against our olive skin tones.  You can focus a few bold red highlights on your ends, or try Bella’s on-trend golden-copper shade. To get the look, you’ll need both golden and auburn colors woven throughout your hair. Make sure they start super-thin at your roots, then thicken toward your ends.

3. Fall Hair Colors: Odette Annable

Your ends may naturally be lighter already thanks to a summer outside. If that’s the case, then just darken your roots and do a clear gloss treatment to add shine and tone down contrast. If your ends aren’t lighter, highlight them one to two shades lighter than your current color.
