As sensational as fashion week is, you’re sometimes left wondering what it all means to you—as in, you may not plan to rock the spray painted hypercolor hair at Narciso Rodriguez (although go for it if you want!). Juicy Red Lips
Tons of spring shows, like Zero + Maria Cornejo and Juan Carlos Obando, made it clear: red lips aren’t just for fall! The berry tints looked bright and juicy with a touch of shine on top.
Slicked Back Hair
Practically every runway (from Carolina Herrera to Carlos Miele to Narciso Rodriguez) featured this easy, just-out-of-the-pool, raked-back look. Our favorite: Custo Barcelona’s glossy low ponytail. Mix gel and smoothing serum together, then evenly apply it throughout your dry hair section by section. Flat iron it straight, then comb it back into a tight low pony.
All week long we kept hearing makeup artists at shows like Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta explain that they wanted the models to look like themselves. At Carlos Miele’s show, Maybelline New York makeup artist Gato Zamora blended concealer on the middle of the forehead, cheeks, brow bones, cheekbones, and the inner corner of the eyes to make skin completely flawless. He added a touch of brown shadow to the eyelids, one coat of mascara, and a shiny nude lipstick.
Even easier to style than slicked back hair: Oscar de la Renta’s gorgeous 70’s-inspired curls. The textured style is another way to show off your natural beauty!
