I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.

In the grand tradition of delicious Latin cooking, we wanted to share our very favorite way to prepare our Thanksgiving turkey. Sure, turkey cooking fads come and go—some choose to fry their birds whole, other go exotic with a Tandoori twist, but we just love the traditional pavochón!
A pavochón is marinated and cooked as if were lechón...in other words, absolutely delicious!
Another one bites the dust! The Bachelorette’s Ali Fedotowsky and her hunky Puerto Rican beau Roberto Martinez have officially split up. We have to admit, we were getting a little suspicious after the wedding was called off due to Ali’s injury last spring and mysteriously never rescheduled (seriously, have you seen Martinez, he’s a catch—check him out on Guy’s page in the December/January issue of Latina).
This week we have a hodgepodge of sexy Latinos to give thanks for! From a chef to a salsa crooner to a new age rock star, the choices are varied.
First up, is Aarón Sánchez. This scrumptious Mexican-American chef is great eye candy, and has been for years, on the Food Network, with a brand new cookbook and two new shows, he's been everywhere lately, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Yes, everyone knows it’s all about the turkey, but one way to step up your Thanksgiving game is with kick-ass sides and desserts. It’s easy with these Latin riffs on five homey dishes. Show up on your host’s doorstep with gorgeous chipotle gratin or luscious pumpkin arroz con leche, and you’ll impress everyone, even those hard-to-please guests. Best of all, you won’t have to spend the day slaving away in the kitchen. Now that’s something to be thankful for.
Oh, Kat Von D! We feel bad for you, but we can't say that we are the least bit shocked by your recent revelation that ex-fiance Jesse James cheated on you with at least 19 other women throughout your relationship.
At least you are not alone. Demi Moore just announced her decision to divorce hubby Ashton Kutcher after a cheating scandal rocked their marriage last month and they were unable to recover.
This week on Rock Center, journalist Kate Snow traveled down to Alabama to explore the devastating effects of HB 56, the souther states new, incredibly restrictive immigration laws that make Arizona look like a cake walk.
The laws have snowballed and caused a string of negative consequences for both the immigrants who live in the area and the farmers and other small businesses who depend on the cheap labor and consider their workers family.
Check out the insightful report below:
We love Bruno Mars and we have a feeling his popularity is about to shoot to new heights with the inclusion of one of his songs on the Twilight: Breaking Dawn soundtrack. The plaintive long song "It Will Rain" has the same melancholy mood that the love triangle between Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) has evoked over the entire film series. Sure, we might be Team Edward in the end, but we still feel bad for the poor werewolf!
Camilla Belle attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala Honoring Clint Eastwood and John Baldessari at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art over the weekend rocking a fringed black and gold Gucci number that left us scratching out heads.
The Brazilian fashion plate is normally the best dressed on the red carpet, so who are we to judge? Which is why we want to know what you think!
This week, we caught up with the beautiful Paula Garces, 37-year-old Colombian star of the upcoming stoner comedy A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas, in theaters November 4th. In the third film in the series, Garces’s character brings her boyfriend Harold (John Cho) home to meet her family, including her very intimidating father, played by Mexican-American actor Danny Trejo. Of course, Kal Penn comes along for the ride.
The always interesting Paz de la Huerta stepped out for a Burlesque Halloween Party she hosted at Dusk Nightclub in Atlantic City, NJ this weekend in a lingerie-inspired outfit that fit the theme for the evening.
