'American Idol' Recap: Breanna Steer Will Bust the Windows Out Your Car

It was round two of sudden death on American idol last night and the ladies were up first again this week. We thought only one Latina remained (Tenna Torres) until a stunning performance of Jazmine Sullivan's "Bust Your Windows" by New Orleans native Breanna Steer drove judge Nicki Minaj to ask what her nationality was.

"I'm a lot of things," Steer said. "I'm Honduran, Black, Creole."

"You're giving me sexy on a stick," Minaj said to our newfound Latina.

A study released last week by Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse found that Maricopa County Jail holds the title for most immigration holds in the country. The study also found that of the nearly one million people detained between 2008 and 2012, 800 were U.S. citizens.

In the midst of President Obama's highly anticipated immigration reform proposal—a leaked version raised GOP concerns for reportedly not tying a pathway to citizenship to new border security measures—a new report found that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained nearly 1 million people between 2008 and 2012. Of those detained, 800 were American citizens, which is illegal for authorities to do.
