Morning chismosos! Ready for your favorite dish of the day?
This one might hurt. The lead singer of Chicano band Los Lonely Boys, which won a Grammy in 2005 for their hit song "Heaven," is currently holed up in a Los Angeles hospital after taking a nasty fall off stage after a concert last night.
According to the band's rep, the Boys had just finished their set when singer Henry Garza tried to greet some fans, but misjudged his step and toppled off the stage falling right into the orchestra pit.
Sudden death round 2 delivered quite the soul last night on American Idol, when the guys battled it out for the top 10.
Cuban cutie Lazaro Arbos continued to break hearts with his story about growing up with a speech impediment and taking a job at an ice cream shop so he didn't have to do "smart people stuff like talking."
The crowd loved his rendition of Keith Urban's "Tonight I Wanna Cry," but ironically Urban himself wasn't a fan.
Looks like Marc Anthony is on a model mission. The 44-year-old singer took 21-year-old British model Chloe Green to Disneyland with twins Max and Emme.
The two were affectionate throughout the trip, holding hands and keeping their arms around each other all day. Green, whose father is Topshop owner Sir Phillip Green, was also photographed bonding with the twins. Emme sat on her lap at one point for a kiddie ride.
It was round two of sudden death on American idol last night and the ladies were up first again this week. We thought only one Latina remained (Tenna Torres) until a stunning performance of Jazmine Sullivan's "Bust Your Windows" by New Orleans native Breanna Steer drove judge Nicki Minaj to ask what her nationality was.
"I'm a lot of things," Steer said. "I'm Honduran, Black, Creole."
"You're giving me sexy on a stick," Minaj said to our newfound Latina.
Cameron Diaz no doubt has it going on at 40, which is why she's topless for the March issue of Russia's Andy Warhol Interview magazine. The interview, conducted by guest editor Naomi Campbell, promotes her new Coen brothers film Gambit.
Maricopa County is in the news again for its anti-immigrant practices. A study released last week by Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse found that Maricopa County Jail holds the title for most immigration holds in the country. The study also found that of the nearly one million people detained between 2008 and 2012, 800 were U.S. citizens.
Sure, Sunday's Academy Awards was filled with enough glitz and glam to make your eyes sore, but it was also a sad moment when Mexican American actress Lupe Ontiveros was missing during the 2012 memorial tribute. The snub resulted in a grassroots campaign that pressured the Academy to include her in their online tribute, which she was also absent from.
The wait for Selena Gomez's new album is almost over. The actress-slash-singer teased fans in a Tweet Wednesday, writing, "[Who's] ready for an album? All the songs have been decided coming to you soon." We're definitely ready to hear Gomez's new material, which we're pretty sure will have some break up/make up themes.
