Favorite Latina fashionista: Jennifer Lopez has been killin' it for a decade at this point….
The Latino celeb I'd want to be best friends with: Chloe Bridges from The Carrie Diaries
My first celebrity crush: Jake Gyllenhaal (Still my celebrity crush…)
Something people don't know about me: I was a really good soccer player.
Guilty pop culture addiction: I wouldn't call the Kardashians a guilty addiction, so I'm going to go with Millionaire Matchmaker
My Latina Role Model: Sonia Sotomayor; here's why.
Fun Memory from My First Day at Latina: I found out I would be launching TheLatinKitchen.com!
Two words that describe Elvis Crespo: Ingenious. Scary?
If I met Jennifer Lopez, I would: Probably start humming "On the Floor".
Movie that makes me cry: Finding Nemo
Celebrity I'd switch teams for: Rihanna and Chelsea Handler
Latino artist on my iPod right now: Selena, always and forever
Favorite Interview with a Latino Celeb: Sofia Vergara – she's everything you want her to be, and more.
Favorite Latin dish: Flautas
Favorite Spanish-Language Song: "Dame Leche" - for comical reasons though
Proudest Moment as a Latino: Well, I'm an honorary Latino, so probably when a woman in my old apartment building yelled at me in Spanish – and I yelled back! Just kidding… But the thing I love most about Latino culture is the warmth and passion they bring to everything in life.

The Emmy Awards is one of TV's biggest nights and it's also the beginning of the red carpet season, which include awards ceremonies like the Golden Globes, Grammys, Academy Awards and more! And even though the Emmy's red carpet wasn't packed with as many Latinos as we would have liked to see, stars like Sofia Vergara, Morena Baccarin and more shined as they made their way inside. Check out their looks and the rest of the best from the small screen's biggest party!
Latina recently got the chance to chat with Michael Peña, the Mexican actor set to star in Chavez alongside America Ferrera as wife Helen and Rosario Dawson as Dolores Huerta. But before conquering his role as the iconic civil rights activist, Michael can be seen keeping the streets of Los Angeles civil in his latest flick End of Watch, also starring America Ferrera, Natalie Martinez and Jake Gyllenhaal. Check out what Michael had to say about working with America and why he's actually been shot at in real life!
Singer Bruno Mars may be known for his sensitive songs, good looks and killer style, but the Puerto Rican cutie is also adding funnyman to his resume. In the latest Funny or Die video, Bruno was able to make us laugh out loud a few times; even if it's not the best F.O.D. video we've ever seen, it definitely shouldn't be missed.
Kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month in style, the 2012 National Council of La Raza (NCLR) ALMA Awards brought together the biggest and brightest Latino celebrities in Hollywood on September 16, 2012 in Pasadena, CA. The show doesn't air until Friday, September 21 (8/7C on NBC), but Latina was on the red carpeting reporting live from the show and we got a sneak peek at all the gorgeous beauty looks from stars like America Ferrera, Eva Longoria, Naya Rivera and more!
Over the weekend, Tracy Reese showed at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and it had to be one of my favorite shows so far. Unlike some of the fashion coming down the runway that makes you wonder who besides a model could really pull it off, Tracy Reese's collection is all very wearable for the modern woman.
America Ferrera, best known for her role as geek-turned-chic magazine editor Betty Suarez on Ugly Betty, is conquering her next big role on the big screen in End of Watch as one of the LAPD's toughest cops. Latina.com was able to score the exclusive on this image of the Honduran actress in her dress blues (We love how hard-as-nails America looks but we secrectly miss her Betty glasses!).
At all the shows I've been going to this season, one thing is very clear: Prints and mixed prints are big for spring/summer 2013. So when I sat down next to our Acting Fashion Editor, Reece Olguin, for Custo Barcelona's show this Sunday, I knew I was in for a treat! Custo is known for their graphics and prints.
One thing Custo did really well this season was jump on the mixed prints trend by mixing their graphics with prints - kind of genius if you ask me.
As an editor covering Fashion Week, you get to experience a lot of cool things. You can catch celebrities in the flesh (I bumped into - literally - Paris & Nicki Hilton yesterday at The Daily Style Sessions Fashion Week lounge.). You can meet models and designers and see their gorgeous collections up close and personal. But of all the cool stuff that's happened this week, nothing comes close to my experience at the Herve Leger show on Saturday.
